As we approach the 2024-25 budget vote, the district would like to include some important dates and items for our school community to consider leading up to the budget vote on Tuesday, May 21. In the coming weeks, we will share information highlighting the Board of Education meeting schedule, live feeds, taped recordings of previous BOE meetings, legislative updates, and up-to-date communication items from Dr. Mundell.
- Beginning in March, Dr. Mundell will be sharing bi-weekly communication items to address the process of this year’s vote and the NYS Assembly and Senate efforts to determine the next steps related to the potential change in Foundation Aid and its impact on over 300 public schools in New York state.
- We would also like our school community to stay included in the budget conversation by following the Board of Education meeting schedule. This page will allow you to stay updated on upcoming meetings and view recorded BOE meetings. You can find that page here. In addition, the district will also be sharing information related to this year’s vote on the homepage of the district website. You can view that information here: https://www.bkwschools.org/.
