Congratulations to the fifth graders at BKW Elementary School for being chosen a winner in the “It’s crunch time, New York!” contest and earning $250 toward a FarmOn Victory Garden for the school. The students enjoyed some delicious apples during the 2020 Big Apple Crunch on Oct. 22 outside their school. They challenge us to eat locally and enjoy the great food produced by our state’s farmers. Their video was posted to Facebook and entered to win a prize, which they did. BKW schools proudly participate in the Farm to School program, FFA and AgriSTEAM education.
