Chicks teach little learners

Katlyn Prescott’s pre-K class at BKW Elementary has been learning about living things and life cycles. During the week of May 3, chicks hatched from their eggs following 21 days in an incubator. At the end of the week, the chicks flew the coop and moved on to their new home.

Residents to vote May 18 on proposed 2021-22 district budget

The BKW Board of Education on April 19 adopted a $23.67 proposed budget for the  2021-22 school year which lowers the district tax levy while maintaining educational programs.
