Superintendent’s message: sports spectators, May 18 vote, kindergarten registration, conference day

Dear Families and Community Members,

We understand that you may be hearing about some schools increasing the number of spectators at interscholastic athletic events in relation to the state increasing its outdoor gathering limits. Please note that at this time we are continuing with our current practice of 2 spectators with badges per player. This will remain in place until we receive specific guidance from the state or local public health department addressing guidelines for these events, at which time we will review this practice. We have been so pleased to resume interscholastic athletic opportunities for students this year and remain committed to taking all appropriate health and safety precautions so that they can continue. We will communicate any changes to you.

Please keep the following in mind regarding Tuesday, May 18:

  • The BKW Budget Vote and Board election will be held from 6 am to 8 pm, in the Elementary cafeteria
  • Kindergarten registration will be conducted on Tuesday, May 18 from 8 am to 3 pm at the Elementary School
  • Tuesday, May 18, will be a Superintendent’s Conference Day. Classes will not be in session

Thank you.

Dr. Timothy Mundell
Superintendent of Schools
