BKW Elementary School students celebrated Flag Day today, June 14, the United States holiday commemorating the date in 1777 when America approved the design of its first national flag – the Stars and Stripes. This included an outdoor ceremony with a march to the school flagpole, recital of the Pledge of Allegiance, patriot songs and students researching and reading “flag facts” to the school.
