Important Update: Learn more about the Affordable Connectivity Program

BKW Community,

We are sharing information with our school community related to the federal Affordable Connectivity Program. This program aims to assist New York State families to pay for internet service. The pandemic showed us that, with so many households relying on the Internet for education, New Yorkers need access to affordable and dependable broadband.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) can provide households in our district with $30 a month assistance if they are enrolled in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program and/or the School Breakfast Program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision.

If needed, please remember to enroll in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program and/or the School Breakfast Program to be considered for this internet service program. The deadline to re-apply is mid-October.

This program is an effective way to keep our students learning in a connected environment while saving costs towards monthly utility bills. Even if you are unsure if you qualify, we urge you to apply.

Thank you for helping students and families stay connected and learning.
