BKW Elementary School honored about 40 of the communities’ veterans with a Veterans Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 9 in the elementary cafeteria.
Students invited family members who had served in the military, then joined them for breakfast served by Erin Snyder’s students. Each veteran was greeted with a flower and fifth graders presented each with a handmade thank you card. 4-H students read a poem and fourth graders sang a song. At the end, everyone rose to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
