During the week of Oct. 17-21, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District recognizes the impact of its board members as part of School Board Recognition Week. Each year, we continue to highlight the contributions of our board members, as they work to provide our students — and our district — with the tools and opportunities to positively impact our school community.

“Our board members continually invest their time and energy in making our district a special place to learn and grow,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Timothy Mundell. “We appreciate their commitment to our students, faculty and teachers, as we create a positive pathway for our students’ success.”

The New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) sponsors School Board Recognition Week to recognize school board members for their commitment to New York public school children. School Board Recognition Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness and understanding about the crucial role school board members have within a school district.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District would like to acknowledge the following community members for their commitment to our district:

  • BKW Board President Matthew Tedeschi
  • BKW Vice President Kimberly Lovell
  • Rebecca Miller
  • Lisa Joslin
  • Nathan Elble
