BKW staff and parents,

Administrators are in the process of contacting parents of students in the class to pick up their child. The district will work with the Department of Health on contact and further details on quarantining and/or testing.

All other BKW students and staff should report to school on their normal schedule Tuesday.

Please remember that moves like these may become necessary at any time for the safety and protection of all.

A second positive case of COVID-19 was also reported to the district today involving a district-level employee who last worked on Thursday, January 14.

Upon receiving the information, district officials immediately began working with the County Department of Health to help officials identify anyone who may have been in close contact with this individual. The health department implemented its contact tracing protocols and is reaching out to individuals and advising them on the need to quarantine, and/or arrange for COVID testing.

Please continue to conduct at-home screenings and maintain personal awareness of COVID symptoms for your children. As always, the health and safety of the students, staff, and community in the BKW Central School District remains our top priority.
