Six BKW High School students traveled to Costa Rica with Spanish teacher Jane Tedesco over spring break 2019. The group saved up for more than a year and fundraised to cover additional travel costs for the Costa Rican Explorer tour with Education First. The group paired with a middle school from North Carolina on the tour. Together they visited farms, schools, the rain forest and cloud forest preserves and the Arenal Volcano. They learned where coffee and chocolate come from, saw a traditional dance show and even went ziplining.
