Budget newsletter and what to know about the budget vote

As we near the budget vote, we continue to work behind the scenes to prepare and deliver all the information about the 2025-26 school budget. For several weeks, we have shared information through specific budget-related articles, budget presentations, Board of Education meetings, and the 2025-26 budget newsletter. Today, we are sharing the online version of the budget newsletter with you as you prepare to vote on Tuesday, May 20. You can access the online newsletter here. (Please note: hardcopy versions of this newsletter have been sent as well).

Additionally, we encourage you to take a moment to visit the Budget & Taxes page to access information related to the 2025-26 budget. On that page, you will find our district newsletters highlighting the great work being accomplished by our students and delivered by our staff throughout the school year. We would also like to call attention to the budget-focused articles that provide insight into this year’s budget preparation. The articles on that page address everything from district revenue to programming, student highlights, and classroom recognition.

Budget Survey

For this year’s budget vote, the district will provide a Budget Survey to collect feedback from district voters to understand how we can best serve our school community. If you are short on time after voting, a QR code will be provided to complete the simple-to-use survey at your earliest convenience. If you prefer to utilize a paper copy survey, they will also be available.

As always, we cannot establish such a unique and vibrant school campus without the assistance of our school community. We appreciate your support as we continue to deliver quality educational opportunities for our BKW community.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, May 20, from 7AM-9PM.
