With an assist from a National Grid Workforce Development Grant, Capital Region BOCES took delivery of four new heavy equipment operator simulators in 2022. Those simulators are currently building experience for Heavy Equipment Repair and Operation BOCES students to operate backhoes, bulldozers, graders, excavators, and dump trucks. Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School senior Matthew Dibble, an Automotive Trades Technology student, is using one of the new automobile lifts installed as part of the renovations and expansion project completed in September. “The new lift is smaller and better fits these vehicles.
