Two BKW seniors officially launched their professional careers at the annual Capital Region BOCES National Signing Day ceremony.
Held at the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Albany Campus, the event mirrors the traditional NCAA signing day for high school athletes. Instead of committing to collegiate sports, BKW seniors Vincent D’Agostino and Taylor Klefbeck signed letters of intent with their future employers, joining more than 70 other students from area school districts.
Following graduation, D’Agostino, a student in the heavy equipment repair and operation program, will begin working with MLC Contracting, LLC. Joining him in the local workforce, cosmetology student Klefbeck plans to start her career at Choices Hair Studio.
“We are incredibly proud to see our students confidently step from the classroom into their chosen professions,” said Superintendent of Schools Bonnie Kane. “They are not only kickstarting rewarding careers but also fulfilling a critical need in our local workforce and community.”
