The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District is proud to announce the top academic honors for the Class of 2026. Congratulations to Valedictorian Patrick Lendrum and Salutatorian Justin Brink for their outstanding achievements and leadership throughout their high school careers.
Valedictorian Patrick Lendrum

Patrick Lendrum is recognized for his strong skills in mathematics and hands-on learning. He excels at working with complex numbers and has experience using several computer-aided design software programs, including SOLIDWORKS.
Beyond the classroom, Patrick has earned multiple achievements in track and field, advancing to the state qualifiers during his high school career. He is also a Section 2 Class C Boys Basketball Champion and Regional Champion. Patrick is also dedicated to helping on his family farm.
Following graduation, Patrick plans to attend Union College to study Mechanical Engineering.
Salutatorian Justin Brink

Justin Brink is known for his love of working with animals, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and pursuing interests involving science and mathematics. He is recognized as open-minded, reliable, hardworking and kind, with a great sense of humor and an ability to make others laugh.
Justin enjoys challenging himself academically and learning new things. He’s taken 8 AP classes since his freshman year, coupled with Honors Classes, and has volunteered more than 40 hours with the National Honor Society. Throughout high school, Justin has remained dedicated to his academics, earning high honors every quarter.
After graduation, Justin plans to attend SUNY Delhi to study Veterinary Science.
