BKW Secondary School student-athletes are being recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recently named BKW baseball, softball and girls and boys outdoor track and field as spring 2026 Scholar-Athlete teams.
The Scholar-Athlete team distinction is awarded to teams with 75% or more of the roster earning an average of 90% or higher during the marking period. Qualifying teams will receive certificates and individual students will be awarded pins to mark their academic achievements.
Across the state, a total of 3,182 teams and 48,767 individual student-athletes earned the distinction.
