
The BKW Athletics Hall of Fame legacy continues to grow. The Athletics Department recently inducted six alumni during a ceremony in the secondary school auditorium on Friday, Oct. 2.
During the ceremony, individual athletes across three different decades received recognition for their athletic accomplishments at BKW and other athletic organizations.
Don Dennis accepted the award on behalf of Dylan Vallequette, while Brian Reinisch and Amy Strack accepted on behalf of their father William Reinisch.

Carol McClelland Dopp, Class of 1975
Carol McClelland was a true trailblazer for BKW athletics, laying the foundation for future generations. After her athletics career at BKW, she went on to achieve extraordinary success at Elmira College, where she excelled in basketball, volleyball and softball. Her decorated athletic journey was fittingly honored with an induction into the Elmira College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Tom Reinisch, Class of 1978
Tom Reinisch built a legendary multi-sport legacy at BKW playing baseball, basketball and soccer. He continued his athletic journey at the collegiate level, playing baseball for SUNY Cobleskill, North Adams State College and Coastal Carolina University. Beyond his playing days, he achieved a distinguished career in athletics as a highly respected men’s college basketball official and officiating coordinator.
William Reinisch, Class of 1974
William Reinisch was a standout three-sport athlete during his time at BKW, playing baseball, basketball and soccer. Following his high school career, he carried his passion for athletics to the collegiate level, playing both baseball and basketball at Schenectady County Community College and The College of Saint Rose.
Tim Sweeney, Class of 1978
Tim Sweeney established himself as one of the most dominant track and field athletes in school history, while also making significant contributions as a soccer standout. Dominating regional competition, Sweeney captured six sectional championships and nine league championships throughout his high school career on the track.
Dylan Vallequette, Class of 1993
Dylan Vallequette is the most accomplished golfer in BKW school history. He turned his passion for the game into an elite professional career, serving as a veteran caddie on both the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. His high-level golf expertise was recognized nationally when he received the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open USGA Caddie Award.
Linda “Liddy” Van Iderstine, Class of 1988
Linda “Liddy” Van Iderstine showcased remarkable athletic versatility as a three-sport athlete for BKW, playing soccer, basketball and softball. Her talent on the diamond earned her the opportunity to extend her playing career to the collegiate level, where she played college softball at Hartwick College.
