Learn about dangers of vaping at Jan. 31 meeting

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office will present “The Dangers of Vaping and Marijuana Use” at 6:30 p.m. on  Thursday, Jan. 31 in the BKW Auditorium.

The evening features a conversation with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Division to learn about the growing trends of vaping and marijuana usage among teens and young adults.

Guest speakers include First Sergeant Tracy Mance – Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Tatiana Gjergji – The Addictions Care Center of Albany, Inc., Jesse Loucks – Person In Recovery, School Resource Officers Deputy Nate Bray (BKW), Deputy Brian Patti (Ravena Coeymans Selkirk), and Deputy Danielle Vanderveer (Voorheesville).

Topics include:

  • How Can I Know If My Teen Is Vaping?
  • Can Marijuana Be In A Vape?
  • What Are The Effects On Teens Who Vape Or Use Marijuana?

You can also meet your school resource officer and see a display of vapes that were used at school.
