Dear BKW Community,
This afternoon, Governor Hochul announced that the statewide mask requirement in schools will be lifted on Wednesday, March 2. This means that students, school staff and visitors will no longer be required to wear face coverings or masks in any of our school buildings or on school buses.
Mask wearing will continue to be optional. At BKW, we will no longer enforce the mask requirement beginning Monday, February 28. However, students or staff wishing to wear masks may do so. Any ridicule or criticism for doing so will not be tolerated.
As always, we continue to work with our local county health officials as COVID-19 health and safety protocols evolve. We will keep you informed of any additional changes to these protocols.
