Free school meals for all students during 2021-22; families still encouraged to apply for Free & Reduced Price Meals

August 24, 2021

Dear Berne-Knox Westerlo Central School District Families:

As part of an effort to make sure children have access to meals during the pandemic, the United States Department of Agriculture has announced the extension of a waiver that results in school meals being available to all children at no charge. Meals will consist of (e.g. entrée, fruit, vegetable, milk). Students purchasing snacks or beverages must have money on their K12Payment Center account in order to do so.

It remains important that families who believe they may qualify for the Free and Reduced Price Meals program submit an application, as we want to be sure that all eligible families are enrolled in this program.

You can apply online at LunchApplication.com. Your application will be sent from a secure website directly to Berne-Knox-Westerlo, so you don’t need to worry about filling out a paper form that could be lost or misplaced. LunchApplication.com. is an easy, secure and convenient way to apply for free or reduced meals. To apply, simply go to https://www.lunchapplication.com/ and click “Apply Now.”

Or you may download and complete the application linked to this website.
