Two Berne-Knox-Westerlo students and a teacher were honored at the Capital Region YMCA Outstanding Student and Educator Awards in April. Courtney Sherwin and Morgan Thomas, both seniors, were honored, along with Secondary School English teacher Katyanna Keyser. All three had to fulfill the criteria of demonstrating “leadership and dedication in service to their schools, communities and/or YMCA.” All three were also awarded a 6-month Youth or Adult membership to the CDYMCA.
