Six members of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo FFA Chapter competed over the weekend at the District II FFA Leadership Development Events in Pine Plains, with five of them winning awards and moving on to the Eastern Region Sub States competitions!
Kayleigh Reynolds-Flynn took 1st place in the Sr. People in Agriculture category, while Graycie Swain took 3rd. In the Sr. Extemporaneous category, Elizabeth Lendrum took 4th place and Amber Gebe took 6th. And in the Jr. People in Agriculture category, River Townsend took 2nd place. Sadie Plant also received an Honorable Mention.
The students who finished in the Top 6 in their respective categories will now move on the Eastern Region Sub States competition on Saturday, March 17th at Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School.
