Grants awarded to the BKW District

In these hard economic times,
school budgets are suffering
- but that just makes
Bulldogs work harder! The BKW staff are
getting creative and finding ways to make a little extra dough
to supplement some programs for the students - and they're doing a great
job! Just recently
we found out about two grants that were awarded to the BKW district.
Maria Tedeschi won a $600
grant for the elementary and secondary schools to buy supplies
from Michaels Crafts. The secondary school will be using their portion
for students to
create bulldog murals in the hallways and new weight room.
Principal McGurl also
received a $700 grant from Target in order to offset a trip for the
secondary school's government and economics students to tour Dannemora
Correctional
Facility.
