Schedules for CTE students during early dismissals
Students that attend either the Albany or Schoharie Career & Technical Schools (CTE) will follow this schedule when BKW has an early dismissal at 11:35 am on the school calendar:
1. Students scheduled for a morning CTE program will still attend in the morning and return to BKW for transportation home at 11:35 am.
2. Students scheduled for an afternoon CTE program at Schoharie will not be provided transportation and should report to the guidance office after their last scheduled class of the morning.
3. Students scheduled for an afternoon CTE program at Albany will be allowed to leave after 10:10 if they have written parental permission and their own transportation.
The Albany and Schoharie Career & Technical Schools are familiar with the BKW school calendar. Students are reported as legally absent because of a home school function.
Schedules for CTE students during school closings and delays
CTE students will follow the schedule listed below for either a school closing or a delay to the start of school:
1. If CTE is closed in the morning and BKW is open, students do not need to attend BKW until their normal class time. If students come to BKW, they must report to the guidance office to be assigned to a study hall until their afternoon classes.
2. If CTE is delayed, BKW will transport students following the CTE delay schedule.
3. If BKW is closed and the CTE campuses are open, students do not need to report to the CTE campuses. Transportation will not be provided.
4. If BKW delays the start of school for two hours, students follow the delay at BKW. Students that attend CTE in the morning will not be transported to CTE. Students should report to the guidance office until the start of their classes at BKW.
5. If BKW delays the start of school for one hour, students follow the delay at BKW. Students that attend CTE in the morning will be transported to CTE one hour later.
