Gov. Andrew Cuomo has accepted Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District's request to extend the deadline for paying school taxes by 21 days, during which no interest or penalties will accrue.

The new due date for paying taxes without a penalty is Oct. 21.

Any person who made/makes a payment between Sept. 30 and Oct. 21 that included late payment fees will have those fees reimbursed by the district by Oct. 31.
