BKW Cheerleaders compete in regional competitions and take home two titles
The
weekend of Jan. 28 was victorious for the BKW Cheerleaders. 31 BKW
students in grades 6-12 on the JV and Varsity squads battled against
other squads in front of panels of judges. Competition was tough, but
their perseverance, determination, hard-work and talent came through.
Saturday was the Big Red Rah Rah at Guilderland High School where the Middle School competed in the Junior High Division and took home 1st place!
The Varsity had some tough competition with 5 teams in their division and took home 2nd place, scoring higher than some larger schools.
On Sunday the Varsity team competed at the CNY
Winter Cheer Fest held at Schenectady High School where they met with
teams from as far away as Syracuse. They took home 1st place out of 3
teams in their division.
The BKW Cheerleaders and their coach Amanda Allen would like to express their gratitude and appreciation of the parents, staff and students who support them all year and came out to cheer them on.
