BKW has partnered with CapCom Federal Credit Union to offer school banking to our students in grades K-12. Aside from teaching good habits and giving students the opportunity to save, CapCom offers the ability for students to earn $70 a year with their Great Grades and Reading Programs.
Students only need to submit a copy of their report card to the branch or send it via school banking and $10 will be deposited into the child’s account. Similarly, students are encouraged to write (or for young children, draw) a brief summary of a book and Cap Com will deposit $3 per book (up to $30).
If you have used school banking in the past
you'll have to transfer your account. Please check out the CapCom
website for more info on account creation, transfers and promotions:
CapCom School Banking
Banking Underway at BKW
There are already many school bankers at the BKW Elementary School. Every month, the student who contributes the most money to their banking account is recognized at the Bulldog Early Show.
There's also some competition brewing! Pat Watchel, the banking coordinator for the elementary school announced at the Jan. 4 Bulldog Early Show that the first class to get 10 bankers will win a pizza party.
School Banking takes place every Tuesday morning before 8:30 a.m. — please join in!
