A team of three Criminal Justice students from Career & Tech’s Schoharie campus scored second at the New York State SkillsUSA competition in Crime Scene Investigation. They are: Nena Ruiz (Berne-Knox-Westerlo), Luke Sommers (Cobleskill-Richmondville) and Jimmy Bryant (Schoharie)
SkillsUSA is a national
career and technical student organization that promotes professional and
personal growth and leadership through seminars and workshops, campus
activities, community service and competitions. Career & Tech has
student-run SkillsUSA chapters at both of its campuses. Students from a
wide range of programs competed last week in the state competition,
testing their technical and professional skills through hands-on and
written contests.
