The BKW PTA is sponsoring an Earth Day Electronics Recycling Drive for Elementary School students in Pre-K through 5th grade. The six week drive will take place from March 11 through Earth Day, April 22.
Students will be bringing home Recycling Pledge Bags this week. When
they return the bags with an item to be recycled, they will be entered
into a drawing for prizes. See
the
flier for information on the items we recycle.
Students should return their recycling to the large collection box in
the Elementary Office.
This collection box is in the office year round, as this is an ongoing program run by the BKW PTA to encourage electronics recycling within our school and community. After the drive is over, keep sending those toner cartridges and old cell phones in so they can properly be recycled and provide the BKW PTA with funds to run our recycling programs.
Some businesses use a lot of toner cartridges for their printers and
copiers. If you work for a business that does not have a recycling
program or would be interested in donating their electronics recycling
to us, we can provide you with a large recycling collection box. If you
would like more information on business sponsorships or have questions
about this program, contact Lisa Chase at 872-1225 or
freedom4us@nycap.rr.com.
