BKW Elementary students tested their skills against each other and themselves during Celebration Day on June 16.
A decades-long tradition continued as BKW Elementary students participate in Games Day. This year, the event was combined with the grade-level picnics.
In the morning, pre-kindergarten through second graders took part in activities such sack races, hop scotch, tee ball hitting, soccer maneuvers and more on the primary playground.
Grades 3 through 5 headed down to the track field for an obstacle course, pyramid building, sponge tossing and more.
Parents and guardians were invited to join the students for lunch in tented areas on the intermediate playground.
Unfortunately, thunder and the threat of storms called an end to the day before the anticipated faculty and staff competition.
