Celebration Day 2011 will be held at BKW Elementary School on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. (rain date: Friday, June 17).
Celebration Day is a new event at the school that merges two annual celebrations: Game Day and end-of-year class picnics. It will kick off with pre-kindergarten through second grade Games Day on primary playground and third through fifth grade Field Day on the track.
Parents are invited to join their children for a picnic lunch, prepared by the BKW kitchen, on the intermediate playground.
While students and parents may pack their own lunches, anyone wishing to buy lunch at the school must pre-order meals no later than Tuesday, May 31. Click here to download an order form.
Following lunch, parents and students are invited to watch a special teacher and staff competition from 1-1:45 p.m. on the flat field space below the primary playground and above the track.
