►School report card data released
On Monday, August 11, the state released school report cards for
the 2006-2007 school year. As in previous years, Berne
Elementary School, BKW Middle School and BKW High School are all
beginning the new school year "in good standing." Further, BKW
students in grades 3 through 8 improved their overall scores on
tests in English Language Arts and Math.

& 8th Grade Girls Modified Soccer practice
Practice (tryouts) begin on Thursday,
September 4, 2008 from 3:15 - 5:00 p.m. Meet at the
track. Be sure your physical is up to date. You
can not practice if your physical is not current.

Practice will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2008
from 3:15 - 5:30 p.m. in the Elementary Gym. Be
sure your physical is up to date. You can not
practice if your physical is not current. If you
have any questions, please call Coach May at
797-5161.
►6th Grade orientation set for August 26
The transition from 5th grade to 6th grade is an important one
for your new 6th-grader. Make sure he or she is prepared and at ease
by attending BKW Middle School's 6th grade orientation and open
house at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 26.
