If you were watching Channel 6 on
Christmas Eve or Christmas Day you may have seen a familiar face --
BKW High School junior Samuel Crevatas. Crevatas was one of 100
high school students chosen to perform in "Melodies of Christmas,"
an annual local television show that benefits the Albany Medical
Center's Child Cancer Program.
The show was taped at Proctor’s
Theater in Albany and broadcast on the local television station. Since its
beginning in 1980, the popular holiday program has raised over
$4 million for the Albany Medical Center, and the performances draw
more than 10,000 people each year.
“We are very proud of him and the work he has done,” said Choral
Director Coriellen Travis. Crevatas, a tenor, also performs with
the high school choir, BKW Chamber Singers and is a member of
the BKW Musical Theatre Troupe. |
