BKW will conduct twelve (12) fire drills
during the school year. Eight (8) will be conducted prior to
Dec. 1. Fire drills are a legal requirement and must be
conducted swiftly and safely. Specific drill regulations are
posted in each of the classrooms. Teachers will review the
room's specific fire drill directive with students. It is
essential for students to know the fire drill directive for each
classroom. Students must obey fire drill regulations when the
fire alarm is activated.
The BKW School District has adopted a
district-wide school safety plan and building-level emergency
response plans for each building in the district. These plans
are intended to define how the district and each school building
will respond to acts of violence and other disasters. They
provide a framework for identifying and implementing appropriate
strategies for creating and maintaining a safe, secure learning
environment for all students. A copy of the district-wide
school safety plan is available for examination in the
district offices. |
