Each month, Secondary School students explore
a new career path by taking field trips to local colleges,
businesses and other organizations. These trips are designed to
help students consider possible career paths and how their
academic performance at BKW - from the classes they take to the
grades they receive - will help them achieve their career goals.
December Trip:
SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering
28 BKW Secondary School students attended NanoCareer
Day at the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and
Engineering on December 3. BKW was one of 10 schools
to attend the event. The photos in the slideshow to
the right show BKW students participating in hands-on activities such as
extracting DNA, and tours of the college
facilities, including a look at its cleanroom.
The career exploration program is
made possible through the Liberty Partnership Program at
SUNY Cobleskill, which seeks to link students with
career choices through in-school presentations and
career exploration.
