REGISTERING TO VOTE
The public vote on the capital project will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Voter registration is required in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District. If you are not yet registered, you must do so prior to the vote. We will hold a special voter registration day on December 11 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the High School. For more information, please call the district clerk at 872-1293.

VOTER ELIGIBILITY AND LOCATION
To be eligible to vote on this project, you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote. Polls will be open December 18 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the High School Auditorium.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Absentee ballots will be issued, upon request, to residents of the district who will be out of town or unable to vote in person due to illness or disability. To vote using an absentee ballot, district residents must first complete and sign an absentee ballot application. Applications are available at the district office. Please call the district clerk at 872-1293 if you would like an absentee ballot mailed to you.

Mailed applications must be received no later than 3 p.m. on December 11 (seven days before the vote).

Applications delivered in person will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Dec. 17. Absentee ballots are due by 3 p.m. on December 18.
