Residents vote down the proposed budget in revote
Berne-Knox-Westerlo district residents voted down the 2011-12 school budget during the revote on Tuesday, June 21, by 82 votes. A total of 732 people cast a ballot, with 407 voting "no" and 325 voting "yes." The proposed $20,917,977 budget reflected a 6.49 percent spending increase and a projected 3.51 percent tax levy increase. read more
Budget to go up for a re-vote
Residents of Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District will be asked to re-vote on the proposed 2011-12 school budget on June 21, 2011. Voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Secondary School auditorium. read more
