The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District Board of Education is a five-member
board elected by the community that is responsible for the
governance of the school district. Members serve three-year
terms.

At its August 18 meeting, the
Board of Education approved the tax rates for the 2008-2009
school year after receiving final figures from each town within
the BKW school district.

Meetings
Unless otherwise noted, the Board of Education meets
once a month on Monday evenings. Board meetings are
conducted in district buildings (see the schedule)
and begin at 7 p.m.
2007-2008 meeting schedule.
The public is invited to all Board of Education meetings.
Community members have an opportunity to speak on issues
concerning them during the time set aside for "public
discussion."
Individuals or groups may request to put an item on the agenda
by contacting the Superintendent’s office no later than
Wednesday prior to the meeting. Contact
