The Sports Booster Club is a private not-for-profit organization. Members of the club raise money to support, promote and honor BKW student athletes and teams. The group funds "extras" for all athletes and teams that may not fit into the school budget. In the past, those items have included the basketball and soccer score boards, school banners, dugouts, safety additions for playing fields, and more. In addition, the club honors individual athletes for their accomplishments and sportsmanship at Senior Night/graduation, 5th/8th grade graduation, scholar banners, and modified/JV banquets. Donations are also given to the junior/senior prom and other school activities throughout the school year.

As an added benefit, the Sports Boosters provides individual camp scholarships for BKW students and is in the process of working towards building a school concession for all sport teams and school events to benefit from; hopefully to be ready for the fall of 2012!

The BKW Sports Booster Club is preparing the 2011-2012 Sports Booklet. Copies will be available by mid-December at all home wrestling matches and girls and boys basketball games.

We are asking for sponsors to fill the pages of this year's booklet. Sports Booster's goal is to have a percentage of the proceeds go into a "Sports Reserve Fund". The money will only be used to provide assistance for sports programs in the 2012-2013 school year.

It is of great concern as a school district that we try to maintain the BKW Sports Program for our future students. Budget cuts are around the corner, and we would like to begin putting money aside today to supplement any cuts in the sports program for next year.

With that said, we are asking the community, coaches and athletes to help get the word out to businesses for sponsorship in this year's booklet. Click here [PDF] for a sponsorship form.
